Rahim Dhrolia is Canadian born, and raised between Kinshasa and Toronto. Having a deep connection with the region and its people, Rahim is a strong believer in Katanga and the DRC as a whole.
He graduated with Honors from the Schulich School of Business, York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and thereafter specialized in marketing and entrepreneurship.
He started small scale farming in 2007, being the founder and managing director with TERRA. Today Terra SPRL is the largest maize plantation in the province of Katanga. This led to the creation of African Milling Company Congo (AMCC) which is Katanga’s first industrial maize flour mill.
Rahim devotes much of his energy to commercial and philanthropic initiatives in the DRC. Through his efforts the group has become a leading agri-based company in Katanga with a vision to replicate the Terra and AMCC model throughout the Congo and various other parts of Africa.
